Last year Rice ASME made some big changes; we introduced a mentorship program tailored for MECH underclassmen, organized a Town Hall meeting with professors and administration to focus on change, connected with our counterparts at the University of Houston, and that was just the beginning. This year we will show no signs of relenting on the progress that has been made. With our newly expanded board, we have even more ideas, resolve, and passion for serving our fellow mechanical engineering students. While networking events, socials, and design competitions are cornerstones of the ASME tradition, what makes our club so great is that we always use what our peers need to enrich their Rice experience as our guide. Last spring we wanted to MECH it happen; this year we will keep MECHing it happen.
